GRANTT joins Selangor FC’s Cahaya Ramadan Programme to Support Asnaf Families

4th March 2026
The spirit of compassion and generosity that defines the holy month of Ramadan was reflected through Selangor FC’s Cahaya Ramadan programme 2026, in which GRANTT participated to support three asnaf families in Selangor who rely on community and zakat assistance.
Representing GRANTT during the visit was Encik Ami Akhram Abdullah, Director of Manufacturing & Engineering, UMW Division, together with the GRANTT team. Also present were UMW Lubetech Sdn Bhd representatives Encik Iskandar Mohamed Salleh, Head of Company, Encik Noor Hafiz bin Uzairi, Marketing Manager and Puan Nurul Ezza Ramli, Head of Human Resouce.
The initiative reflects GRANTT’S ongoing commitment to standing in solidarity with communities in need, particularly low-income families and refugee or migrant schools across Selangor. Each household received an AEON Voucher worth RM500 to help ease daily expenses, together with a bag of GRANTT Merchandise.
These contributions symbolised GRANTT’s care and support for the families during the month of Ramadan. Among the asnaf beneficiaries visited was Encik Ruszaimi bin Abu Bakar, who is currently bedridden due to severe heart disease and cared for by his wife as they raise their daughter together in a home provided by their house owner.
The team also visited Puan Norashikin binti Hayat, a single mothe raising six children after losing her husband to cancer and currently residing in quarters provided as wakaf by the mosque community.
The final visit was to Puan Nur Azurin binti Isa in Petaling Jaya, who is raising her six children alone while renting a home after her husband left the family.
GRANTT also extended its appreciation to Selangor FC for the opportunity to participate in the programme, reflecting how meaningful collaborations can strengthen efforts to uplift communities and spread kindness. Through initiatives such as Cahaya Ramadan, GRANTT continues to champion compassion and solidarity within the community. In the true spirit of Ramadan, the programme serves as a reminder that even small gestures of kindness can bring hope and comfort to those who need it most.
