UMW Lubetech, a subsidiary of Sime UMW, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Sani Express to enhance fleet performance operational efficiency. The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing held at UMW Lubetech’s Pulau Indah facility.
This collaboration reflects UMW Lubetech’s growing network of partnerships, strengthened through platforms such as its sponsorship of Selangor FC under its lubricants brand, GRANTT. Through this ecosystem, new opportunities for cross-industry collaboration continue to emerge, with Sani Express among the first to come to fruition.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Amir Shah ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, Raja Muda Selangor and Chairman of Selangor FC. His highness’ continued support highlights the role of strong network in bringing together industry players and enabling meaningful collaborations across sectors. The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration in areas including lubricant supply, technical advisory, product evaluation programmes and fleet maintenance optimisation.
This will be supported by GRANTT, UMW Lubetech’s in house lubricant brand, as both parties work towards enhancing operational performance. Encik Ami Akhram Abdullah, Director, Manufacturing & Engineering Division, shared that the collaboration reflects a broader commitment to delivering value through partnerships. “This goes beyond products – it’s about connecting partners across industries to deliver real operational value,” he said.
The MoU serves as a non-exclusive framework, with detailed commercial terms to be formalised under seperate agreements. Moving forward, the collaboration is expected to support improved efficiency in fleet operations while strengthening connections within the wider industry ecosystem.
